Equipment Products

Pick which Site Product List this equipment runs and set the default Ideal Cycle Time used when no per-product value is specified.

The Products tab on an Equipment ties the equipment to one of the Site’s Product Lists and configures a fallback Ideal Cycle Time used when the running product doesn’t have its own value. The product list itself (the rows of products and their per-product Ideal Cycle Times) is maintained at the Site — this tab only selects which list to use and what to fall back to.

Fields

Notes

Product List

Yes (when Performance is enabled)

Drop-down listing every Product List defined on the parent Site (e.g. Accessory Bags, Spare Parts). Pick exactly one.

Default Ideal Cycle Time

Yes (when Performance is enabled)

Numeric value + unit (Seconds / Minutes / Hours). Used as the speed reference whenever the currently running product has no per-product value, or the running product isn’t in the selected list.

(unit dropdown)

Yes

Unit of measure for Default Ideal Cycle Time. Same set of units used by per-product Ideal Cycle Times on the Site Products tab.

How the running product is matched

The Default Ideal Cycle Time is the baseline; per-product values override it. At runtime the engine resolves the Ideal Cycle Time like this:

  1. The equipment’s Current Product Id tag (see Product & Order) emits a value — a Material Number.

  2. The engine checks the selected Product List for a product whose Material Number matches that value.

  3. If a match is found and that product has a per-product Product specific ICT set (i.e. not "Default equipment ICT"), the product’s Ideal Cycle Time is used.

  4. Otherwise — including when the Material Number doesn’t match any product in the list, or when the matching product is set to "Default equipment ICT" — the equipment’s Default Ideal Cycle Time is used.

There is no "skip Performance for unknown products" path — the Default is always usable. That’s why Performance can’t be enabled without a Default ICT set, and why the Default should be a deliberate choice (commonly the slowest product the equipment runs, or the typical cycle time across the line).

The product preview grid

Below the configuration row is a read-only view of the products in the selected list — Name, Material Number, Description, and Ideal Cycle Time. Use it to verify you’ve selected the right list before saving.

To add, edit, delete or import products into a list, switch to the parent Site’s Site Products tab — those actions aren’t available here because the same list is shared by every equipment that selects it.

Changing the assigned Product List

You can switch the Product List at any time. The change applies forward only — historical OEE results computed under the previous list are not recalculated.

Validation

Condition
Behavior

Performance pillar enabled and Product List unset

Field flagged required; Products tab header shows invalid; Save blocked.

Performance pillar enabled and Default Ideal Cycle Time unset

Field flagged required; same blocking behavior.

Selected Product List is empty (no products yet)

The assignment is allowed; every running product code falls back to the equipment’s Default Ideal Cycle Time until products are imported on the Site.
