# Management

**Management** is the central place to manage your IoT devices, deciding **what** should run, and **how** it should run. It’s where you prepare configuration, define how your IoT devices should behave, and plan rollouts that can affect many devices at once.

The Management area covers everything related to the following activities:

* **Create**: Adding new devices and provisioning them by assigning a management endpoint.
* **Configure**: Assigning modules, applications and asset hierarchies to devices.
* **Deploy**: Deploy the configuration to a single, or across many devices.
* **Maintain**: Keep module versions aligned across devices using Update Center.
